I'm fairly certain I know someone with an OEM W7 disc with all versions on it,Another laptop backup beside me lol
That won't work if machine came with vista it is Slic 2.0 in bios windows 7 uses Slic2.1 .I'm fairly certain I know someone with an OEM W7 disc with all versions on it,
I'm not very computer savvy, so have no idea what any of that means,That won't work if machine came with vista it is Slic 2.0 in bios windows 7 uses Slic2.1 .
For preactivation you need manufacturer Slic + certificate +oem:slp key.
Depending on brand of machine some actually updated there bioses from slic 2.0 to 2.1
I know for a fact HP did it I with some models upgraded mother in laws machines bios years back saved modding the bios.
So rather than bios mod on old machine he could just use Daz loader from correct source.
Officially no such thing official one only one manufacturer on disk but you can make multi oem disks with various manufacturers last count multi-oem/retail project has 133 brands that will preactivate. And yes handy to make if working on computers.I'm not very computer savvy, so have no idea what any of that means,
I just know this has been installed on PCs with NO OS whatsoever on them, and that never had an OS on them.
its a PC builders disc, it is already pre-activated
ah, okOfficially no such thing official one only one manufacturer on disk but you can make multi oem disks with various manufacturers last count multi-oem/retail project has 133 brands that will preactivate. And yes handy to make if working on computers.
If the disc you mention can preactivate none branded machine then it is also using Daz loader
Yes once the upgrade proccess checks if machine is activated and qualifies, the loader is deleted from boot sector via the windows 10 installation it is never needed again machice will now have HWID stored on micros*ft servers that how if you reinstall windows 10 you do not need to enter your serial number.ah, ok
yes, the disc my friend has contains logos (if you want to use them) for numerous machines
I know it has been used on machines that are NON standard builds, and also on machines from manufacturers that arent big name or on the logo's available
some machines its been used on have been upgraded to W10 with no adverse effects 3 years on.
All retail W7 discs have all full versions on them it's the product key which activates the right one.I'm fairly certain I know someone with an OEM W7 disc with all versions on it,
As long as it's a SATA connector it doesn't matter which generation they're backward/forward compatible with the oldest part being the limiting factor for data transfer. If the laptop is 12yrs old or newer it will highly likely be SATA. More or less all Sata SSD's are 2.5" which should fit a laptop no problem.I think laptop needs work as possibly new install and unsure if i should also go for a ssd also.
Question is do they differ for laptops as looking at one and mentions sata 111 and anyway of checking what is installed in mine or there all the same and difference is capacity? cheers.
