Iptv recordings stop at 179 min

Been trying to record the darts on Thursdays but every week I find that it has stopped recording at 179 minutes. I have tried altering the recording duration manually but it still does it
I'm using a vu+ solo2 with openvix 6.4.007.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why it keeps doing this please ?

Personally would never rely on iptv for recording

No other option. Records perfect everytime except for stopping at 179min

Not offering any catchup for the sports channels at the moment so unfortunately that's a non starter

How big is the usb you are recording to?
If its filling up after 3 hours, this will be the cause.
I'd suggest at least 32gb if not bigger

The box has a 500gb harddrive installed. It's less than half full

Try switching to the new plugin by the same developer. Bouquet Maker Xtream it's available in the feed's to download.

It will record other things, not just darts.
You can try to record four hours of sky news to see if it works

Some prices turn off stream after 3 hours, since lots of people just leave their box switched on. This is up their connections to supplier for no reason sometimes, and wasted bandwidth... If you really need longer, ensure you have more connection, and set a minute cross over with seperate timer...

Actually, as stupid as it is, I never thought to set another timer and split the recording into two halves.
If updating openvix and switching to Bouquet Maker Xtream doesn't work, then that is the obvious solution. Thank you 👍

I had a similar issue and multiple recordings with a minute overlap really helped. 61 and 91 minutes is what I used and scheduled recordings. 61 is great for football, 91 for anything else. Catchup would be best otherwise.
