IPTV Android Mobile Apps

Evening all,

I have been using an Apple TV for IPTV and an iPhone app (IPTVX and then Snappier) to watch live sports and live TV whilst at the gym.
I'm now back to a Google Pixel phone and I am struggling to find a decent equivalent IPTV app for Android.
I've seen a lot of suggestions online for TiviMate, however that's for a box and not made for touch screens.
PurplePlayer seems to work but I can't find an ad-free version (paid or otherwise) and Smart IPTV (which I presume is what everyone online refers to as 'Smarters') is £8.99 with no trial and I don't have M3U to the best of my knowledge. I have an Xtream code from my provider which worked with Purple, but see above.

Does anyone use an app for Android mobile, paid, or otherwise, they can recommend?

Thanks in advance

I think you can buy premium version of purple player or remove adds option I’m not sure if implayer works on mobile (touch screen) devices

@miggymoggs give iMPlayer a go.
I have the premium version but have not tried it on a mobile device.
It is good on a TV device but they do have a mobile version.
I can add you to my account on the premium version so you can test and see if you like it.
All I need is device ID.

Thanks. I have tried my playlist credentials with each of the playlist types on offer, i.e XC API, M3U and EPG, Local M3U file, V.O.D XC API and V.O.D (Plex) and unfortunately my details won't work to load my playlist.
I shall email my provider and see what they suggest.
Appreciate your help.

I have used it with xtream codes and it has been fine.
Not sure what else to suggest.

Have you entered your details correctly do you have username/password/dns

Smarters works most providers will give you that.

Implayer has a mobile version seperate from tv version.

Purple player works don't know how much that is.

Most suppliers provide their own apps such as xciptv, smarters, purple, ibo etc which are premium versions you don't need to buy. Just download the apk and install. Then, just enter user/pass and away you go...

Televizo mate, can't go wrong and much more fluid than implayer.

Televizo - IPTV player - Apps on Google Play

If your already with a iptv provider ask them for a app they will give you a app code or app apk link,

Most iptv providers don’t use the google play store or iOS AppStore apps because off url they are not allowed to give out and if they do give out they are in trouble, so I would suggest ask your provider or look for a new one if you haven’t got a provider.

Why would they be in trouble for giving out their own urls? I prefer an independent app like Tivimate, Implayer, Televizo on Android or UHF, Snappier for iOS/tvOS. These work with any provider and not restricted to using terribly branded smarters or whatever.

Any supplier that is restricting access to their own apps is again just wanting to control which platforms can access it. The credentials from the custom apps can be extracted in multiple ways and then you can use the independent apps listed above. Imagine downloading a movie only to learn it can only play in certain players, that's out of order!

Your forgetting every provider panel shows what player is been used so if one is using tvimate when they shouldn’t they run the risk of there line either been banned or disabled trust me I’ve seen it done first hand.
It’s not about them wanting to control which platforms can access it it’s more about trying to stop the dns getting into wrong hands or even been scanned and shared on free sights.

As Aristotle mentioned you could change the user agent and that should do the trick. Between the app restrictions and limiting to one IP it's no wonder people aren't fully aware and the barrier of entry is greater due to either scare tactics or just poor ui. Not doubting your experience for a second but why would their line get banned for using a different player? They are using their own credentials after all.

I've use Vlc on windows (m3u), best player (windows), Tivimate, televizo, uhf and no issues whatsoever. Guess I should blank out my user agent just to be sure.
