Hot to prevent frost build-up on car windscreen?

As a Christmas or New Year's present I want to purchase something for my brother's Suziki Ingis car.
After a hardy or frosty night when he starts his car and turns on the heater it takes ages for the windscreen to clear even though the hot air is blowing up to the windscreen.
I'm wondering if there is something out there that he could put on top of the dashboard to prevent frost building up?

Driving a spacewagon with a massive screen in the winter takes a long time to thaw.

Options are a frost cover which goes over the windscreen and lower wiper blades down on top sides are tucked into each door frame holding it in place.

Moisture absorbing bags do nothing as inside is frozen also.

Best trick is to fill up a strong plastic bag with warm water and move over screen and it clears the frost and ice on both sides.

I carry a 12" silicone blade inside to wipe from left to right to clear the screen of excessive moisture.

Easy peasy as dont need to use my 3kw heater to defrost the car any more before going to work.

U could get him a windscreen frost cover that attaches to the outside of the car. It prevents frost from forming and saves time in the morning. Another option is a 12V portable car heater/defroster that plugs into the car’s cigarette lighter for extra warmth. Both are practical and thoughtful gifts.

Remember cold batteries are at there weakest first thing in morning if not driven for a few days and car would need to be running so you dont flatten battery.

Good point, Cold mornings can be tough on car batteries, especially if the car hasn’t been driven for a while. Might be smarter to stick with the frost cover and keep the battery in check during winter. 👍
