HELP! Openbox V8s Some Scrambled Channels...

My open box v8s will be heading for the bin. Bear with me. Plugged it in 2 weeks ago set it up to wifi hey presto, literally plug in and play. After 3 days most channels scrambled. It says my device is not recognized although WiFi is connected. Any ideas please ?? Should I have done something originally via a usb :-) :-) . Apologies if I have hijacked anyone's post only this forum is new to me.
 
Hi Everyone and Happy new year, I am a newbie to this site, I have a V8S and had it about 6 months, really good, just wondering if there was anyway to make the EPG work? so can see a week or so in front, sory if posted in wrong section or anything.

Try a factory reset---[do not tick anything] this will not affect your line but always have a copy stored just in case.---go to channel edit and delete all channels----go to network upgrade and open--connect to server----install latest firmware upgrade for v8s [2nd on list]---reboot---download latest CWaites channel list from this forum---format a usb key to fat32---add the downloaded .dbs list to key and install by putting key into rear of box, go to tools, upgrade by usb, change image to misc and install--exit and reboot. Now you can re-install line if need to [CCcam or N line] Then reboot box once more.
All channels should now be there.

Hi , my v8s also got all scrambled channels, following your advice above get to the connect to server ! blank . . FTP comes up with skyboxcc only then says no service???
what is the server I need to connect to . .my box only shows FTA channels.
Appreciate the help
 
Hi all,

Have a V8S box.
All channels working perfectly fine. As of yesterday Bt1 & BtEurope fail to show any video or audio or no on screen notice!
I have tried manually searching but no luck.
Any body any ideas? Thanks in advance
(I am in u.k if thats relevant)
 
You will find these channels have moved and now updated on the latest cwaites channel list in the "skybox channel list feb, march"
Fire that on your box via usb and youll be sorted, oh and with racing uk in hd as well
 
Hello, im new to this sort of things. I have an OpenBox V8S which I have just upgraded firmware and channel lists. We get a full list of channels but the majority of them are 'Scambled'. How would I go about getting these unscrambled?
 
Hi Guys

Sorry, I am new to this and am a bit confused.

I can only access channels through favorites. An example would be if i go to entertainment, channel 101 will be BBC1. If I go to Sports, channel 101 will now be Sky Sports 1. Is there any way of changing this so I can access all channels without having to find them through the favorites option?

HI Reaper I have followed all of the above my ccam is online I have downloaded latest firmware, I am connected to internet, downloaded programme list (C Waite) and all programmes are showing scrambled although if I scroll down on my remote (not using favourites) I can get some channels such as Settanta Sky 1 etc. I am using a v8s which I feel like throwing through window any ideas as to what problem could be. I have also tried at my brothers house where his F5 box works. Thanks
 
Hi, desperately need some help if possible? My OpenBox v8s was working fine up until a week ago when all of the sky channels, everything bar the freeview channels were scrambled. From yesterday my box now has no signal and doesn't even get a signal for freeview. I don't understand what the problem could be here as it worked fine for three weeks? Also why would the signal then dissipate suddenly?

I have tried my box at another location and it works fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a problem my cline works on other boxes and upto 10 mins ago worked on this openbox v8s, now i cant get sky1 premier sports1 etc but can get sports2 disney not discovery but can get discovery 1. Box just gone like this i have reset, firmwared ,even used image off other box thats working with same line. i have updated channel list. I wonder if you can only update these boxes so much as i have used it to test lines in the past heavily. And during test it happened anyone else come across this? ? im banging my head up wall lol

I have sorted it now by using a C line instead of a N line the problem box gave up reading N lines

I have had problems with my V8s, originally I had all channels working and then I tried a channel update (C Waites)
and lost channels Sky1, Sky F1, Chelsea TV etc;
I've have tried everything recommended TP scan, re-install channel list, delete channel list, re scan single/multi etc; etc;
so i thought i'd try your method listed here. but still no luck. at the end of the process it shows 'no channels'
any ideas please. i'm pulling my hair out here.

Interesting.

The reason I asked about the different lists, is because I was wondering whether it might be the way in which the lists are compiled that is causing the problems (having to be sorted in a program like Madiabox etc.), or whether it's just the process of updating by USB that's causing the problem.

I suppose it could be narrowed down by:-

deleting the channels from a problem box
scanning
dumping the channel list to USB
deleting the channel list
installing the channel list by USB

If it installs with no problems, then it's the compiled channel lists that are causing the problem.

If it still causes problems, then it's a problem with the USB process.

Hi all,

Just thought I would put this out here from my experience.

Recently I updated my openbox v8s to a N line (from a C line).

Firstly I cleared the c line details and then used the usb to update newccam details.

All of a sudden a selection of sky movies channels and sky sports 4/5 went to scrambled, the rest was working fine.

Any how, I tried everything that has been suggested.

SOLUTION:

I had to add a C line onto the open box then deactivate it, all channels are now back up!
 
I am having the same problem. I just tried adding a c line, but it wouldn't go online. Then my n line went offline. I deleted both, re-added my N line. Box is back up but I'm still missing certain channels - BT Sport, Gold, W, Sky1, Dave, Atlantic and Alibi (so far). I'm not sure about doing a factory reset coz I really don't know what I'm doing!!
