Satellite H7S freezing needing power off at rear.

It seems many of these boxes might have a hardware issue and freezing the box as just seen this on another forum and might be of some use.

I have 2 H7S recievers from World of Satellite (I have been using enigma2 receivers from WoS for years as have a lot of my family/friends). I have bought several recievers from them and never had an issue.

Anyway, I bought 2 H7S receivers in 2021. Both of them hung a few times per week when not in use. I tried EVERYTHING … remove plugins, disable certain plugins, new PSU with higher rating, removing HDs … etc. As I said, I have LOTS of E2 experience (I have commited to the OpenVix opensource codebase even) and I couldn't figure out what was wrong.

I contacted WoS support who are excellent. I shipped both receivers back to them and they managed to reproduce the problem - seems to have been a hardware problem with both receivers. They shipped 2 new Zgemma H7S receivers to me and they've been rock solid. Not a single crash/hang in 4 years.

At the time, I know there were a good few complaints similar to mine. A lot of people just accepted it and were happy to turn the reciver on and off when it happend.

Interesting when they got a result on these boxes.

Interesting , i also have two H7s boxes bought from wos at a similar time maybe a bit earlier 2019/20.
No problems here infact i have been very pleased with the reliability apart one tuner issue.
Lets hope it stays that way as would be a bit late to send them back now anyway
