Have you tried flashing willobuild? it's vix based and should replace the grogbuild images.

Pickup a new SanDisk usb 8/16 GB they never fail. Are you sure you are unzipping the file it will not flash other wise.

Cheers for that, after using 4 different usb sticks all formated to fat32 went to Argos and bought a new 30gb sandisk job and it worked straight away.... Thanks for the heads up.

Now I still fancy openatv BUT how do I ensure the grog screen doesnt reappear?

The sandisk usb sticks are bomb proof when it comes to flashing E2 boxes. Tried loads of other brands over the years nothing comes close. I did say to low level format the kingston with HDDGURU first that would have worked i bet.
