Hi,

This is new firmware and a config file, sent to me by Ron105, so all thanks go to him.

BM5000s Firmware (unofficial) 09-01-14 - Downloads - TechKings

Unzip the files.

Load the ".ssu" file onto a pen drive.

Menu - Setup - Update and Back Up - Image Upgrade.

Pick the ".ssu" file and update the image.

Box will reboot.

Go to

Channel - Blade Online

Load the channel list for your area, eg, london, granada etc

Box will reboot.

Open the config file with notepad.

Paste in your line

C lines are at the top, N lines near the bottom, depending on what type you are using.

Make sure you paste over the "#" at the start of each line you enter.

Put it on your pen drive.

Menu - Setup - Update and Back Up - Image Upgrade.

This time pick the config file.

Reboot your box, it doesn't do it automatically.

Hold your breath and pace up and down a bit (optional)

There is no 9991 option like on the BM7000s, the line is entered by USB
with the config file provided. !!!! lol

Sorted !! Box is up and running.

I will post a tutorial with some pictures soon.

I have edited my first post for a short version for now and will
put the files in the download section.

Got it up and running thanks for the help just need to sort out the seven day epg now lol ..
 
Noticed it's only now and next but, I expect they will add
something like the 7 day Epg channel at some stage like the BM7000s

It is only just out so we will have to see how it develops. :)
 
Yea mate lets hope so but just glad i got it up and running it was going back the shop after the weekend if nothing had developed but am happy now (y)

Looks like there is 1 out there as bloke is selling on Fleabay for £250 with gift and 7 day epg item

Sounds expensive for an £80-90 box with gift
They must be trying to make about £100 per box.

Yes well we do get rip off people.....Should be able to do 7day epg with the blade online file.

So you go into the menu instead of pressing 9991 on a channel to get into the server list?
This box seems to do almost the same as the BM7000s for £60 less. Is there much difference in the spec? Doesn't seem to be at first glance.

Sod it! I want one. Bees or Ron105, could you please PM me a link to where you made your purchase if thats ok. Going to sell the Technomate and get a BM5000s for the bedroom.
 
5000s. Already got a 7000s. Replacing the technomate tm5402 in the bedroom. Blade is the way forward!
