Best option for high resolution EPL?

Topiary

Newbie
I currently have this begin.watch, not tested any of the others. I do prefer higher resolutions, which is the best folks?

Peacock is probably your highest quality option with high bitrate 1080p and 60fps, but doesn’t have all the games.

Optus Sport is also high quality 1080p/50fps and has all the games.

Fubu Canada has a couple of games in 4k each round, but the rest of the games are lower quality than the above options.

Does anyone know if star hub in Singapore work in UK with a VPN as it has the best latency at 20sec behind real kick off time.

I think you will struggle if you want to watch all games in 4k.
1080p at 50fps or 60fps is fine to watch imo.

I get what you mean. 4K can be pretty demanding on your bandwidth and hardware, and a lot of people find that 1080p at 50 or 60 fps is more than enough for a smooth viewing experience. It’s often a good balance between quality and performance, especially if you’re just watching games rather than playing them

I don’t mean bandwidth and device capability.
I mean having access to all the games in 4k resolution. 4k is a bonus when you can watch in that resolution.

Peacock is pretty good, 9-12Mb/s bitrate, FHD with surround sound and they have decent lads on the comms and most games.

NowHK seems to have 4K streams as well but not sure if that's offered as subscription or you can subscribe via vpn, etc.

I don't think all games are even offered in 4K on any service legal or otherwise, majority of the 4K streams are upscaled anyway but still look better than your TV upscaling a 720p or 1080p stream.

Yeah I couldn’t see them offering every domestic football match in 4k and like you mentioned will be upscale also.
FHD is fine but UHD is great and a bonus when they are available.

Peacock don’t have every game though

I use DNS rather than VPN and have had good performance with Getflix, DNSFlex and Smartstreaming.tv

I have on occasions used it with the Getflix VPN as well, and that as also worked for me.
What's your opinion of that smartstream.tv that only support 1 device ?

You'll notice the only games available in 4k on any platform are the games the host broadcasters (sky and tnt) show in uk. Foreign broadcasters can use them. The premier league themselves don't do a 4k broadcast hence why there is no 4k 3pm game.

So basically Sky and TNT are the only ones maybe filming in 2k and upscaling the broadcast to 4k, similar to how a lot of movies are shot in 2k and upscaled to 4k.

Only 1 who does 3pm 4k ...but only the one game and likely upscaled ...Starhub
