Ip address multiple ips would get the line blocked also would show various locations ie London Manchester Glasgow as an example
So multi room in the same household using vpn would show different public ip addresses for different devices allocated by the vpn.
But surely if one of those devices in a different location using the multi room connection with the same VPN would be allocated a separate ip address.
Just like the devices in the same household.
How would they tell if that device is in a different location?

It's not rocket science vpns give an ip address and a location so if your using multi room both using vpn two different ips two different locations doesn't matter if using the same vpn you are always going to get two separate ips and two separate locations so in a providers eyes the line has either been hacked or shared so the line will get banned

What about a static IP VPN?

What about a static IP VPN?
Never used a static ip on vpn but I should imagine it would work the same as it would with a router and not change but even then I would imagine the location would change each time but the ip be the same 🤷🤷

The vpn masks your location and ip address and assigns you a public ip and location to the server destination you choose.
I know people who share their multi room by using a vpn.
They must be lucky or their supplier doesn’t care.
Someone using multi room in the same household connected to a vpn on separate devices would have different public ip addresses assigned by the vpn.
With what you have said that would get them banned also.
Therefore someone with multi room would be unable to use a vpn.

Good point.
Using a VPN with a dynamic IP can cause multiple public IPs on different devices, which some IPTV providers might flag as sharing.
A static IP VPN could solve that by keeping all devices under one consistent IP, making it look like they're coming from the same place.
Have you ever tried a provider that specifically supports VPN use for multi-room setups?

You can also setup a vpn tunnel back to your home network from a different location.

Setting up a VPN tunnel back to your home network can be a clever workaround.
It keeps all traffic appearing as if it’s coming from the same local network, even when devices are in different locations.
Have you tried that setup yourself? Curious how stable it is for streaming services.

WTF if a supplier tells you multiroom connections are the same IP location then obey the rules or get banned. All this tosh being spouted.

Not personally tried it but a high speed connection helps depending on what you are streaming.

And get banned most services will ban for that
Definitely not all services, plenty allow use on home device, mobile device away from home. Hell even people take there "firestick" to their mates house.

1 connection is 1 connection.

Some services may IP lock but it's few and far between now.

You will get the usual resellers arguing over this 😂😂😂😂

Another set of posters don't realise that they too are making their presence obvious.

Always the same ones with the same agenda.
