There's barely any reason whatsoever to change. Tivi premium is rapid, stremio layout is way better than firesticks. Custom launchers available. Hyperspin front end for emulation (it's incredible)
Installing cracked premium apks is a godsend.

The only thing I would like is a good jellyfin client (goddamn awful for android TV but great for tablets/phones so I have to go through kodi for that) and av1 playback for Synology Plex server storage compression.

Bring out a new shield please Nvidia and kill this subject off once and for all. 😂

TBF the upscaling works great on standard definition stuff.

Not needed on 1080p or 4k content obviously.

It's a 5 year old device. SD was still widely used back then. It's pretty pointless now, it works well for emulation though.

Yeah it looks like it should run Tivimate from the specs.
I had a look at some of their other dual tuner devices and some of them are pricey.
