Just to let chaps know in a recent update on firesticks they have put something in

Goto
Settings/prefrences/privacy

They have added manage supported apps/ share viewing and content info

Make sure this is off. Because it includes third party apps that you have side loaded on. Otherwise it will report evreything back to amazon

Yes but my link is to a post from november 2023, took you 18 months to post the same news

3rd party apps that can be linked by choice are
Disney+, Hulu, Max, MGM+, Peacock, STARZ, and Tubi are participating with the new feature from the start. Content watched from those, in addition to Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Freevee, should appear in the new Continue Watching row automatically.
 
I thought something had recently changed since I always seen a video on this same thing this morning but obviously that article is from November 2023 :/

Yes I saw that docsquiffy video yesterday myself, yet another sneaky Amazon update to monitor which third party apps we're using and watching:

I think more likely to phase out. I agree maybe 3 or 4 years. But for the price you can't complain.

There are options around the same price point running google os which will never get phased out
 
I mean looking at that 2028 I dont know if most people keep there devices for 3 years

The only reason they are doing it is because firesticks are getting called kodi sticks and iptv sticks etc
 
The first Fire TV device with the Vega os are supposedly going to be released later this year.
So they could potentially stop selling android based devices around the same time but we will have to wait a see.

What is mean mate is
Chromesticks
Formuler
Etc
And many others they will change nothing Amazon although android is a different os already. Its thete own which is a fork of android
 
I think the shear amount of pressure that Amazon will get from the PL will force them to start and do something, otherwise they might lose the PL games they have at the next round of sales

Amazon are one of the biggest companies in the world they won't be dicdated to by anyone. The PL is just a fraction of the stuff illegally streamed on these devices.

Trump had Bezos wrapped around his finger and donating money to Trump pretty quickly.

I know what you mean regarding only a percentage of PL games are on Amazon but moving forward it could hinder them. I’m sure quiet words will be hand behind closed doors not only by the PL.
 
Amazon have done the sums they are a massive company. They only want people who subscribe to there services

They provide much more income than people who buy to use iptv

Plenty of other devices I dont think formuler etc are worried
