It's the same image.
Just change the language from German to English in the menu once you've flashed it

aha that box is catching people out, there are more than one version, and not easy to tell apart. One has dual boot and the other comes with an inbuilt image called Define OS.

If you look on wos its obvious but if say on amazon de not so obvious.

OCTAGON SX88 V2 4K UHD S2+IP 5G Wi-Fi 1xDVB-S2 Enigma 2 DUAL OS Linux Smart TV Sat Receiver

Is the correct version

and other one has VE. = Octagon SX88 SE V2 WL HD S2+

The difference is price.

The big selling point its TINY and has lan port.

Not the 4K model

Yes as boxes looked the same but are not identical.

Another thought as they wanted to use it in Client mode and leave the different operating system and use the extras to which it brings.

Because it was bought in Germany and EU no customs tax needed to be paid and wanting a small box to work behind tv.

As i only use OpenVix do other boxes offer Client Mode

Is it running Define OS at the moment? I think you need to use the multi boot option to go to enigma 2 if I remember correct.

That box does not have multiboot, its tiny 5 ins wide 256mb ram . octagon use 88 loads of times and II bet its not an error!!

Octagon SX88 SE V2 WL H.265 HEVC HD Multi-stream Digital Satellite + IPTV Receiver with WiFi

Its to connect to a zgemma h7s running vix in client mode and I dont have enough network knowledge to test if its compatible and I dont have the actual box. Apparently its aimed at the German market mostly. And the box has to be small to fit behind a TV.

I'm racking my brains for a small box that runs openvix and the zgemma H2.S is the smallest I can think of. and cheap

Box has this in info and if it could use CLIENT MODE , no need to reflash.

I found one

OCTAGON SFX6018 S2+IP 1x DVB-S2 HD H.265 HEVC, E2 Linux Smart Receiver, Satellite Receiver, Recording Function, Card Reader, YouTube, Web Radio, HDMI, Black

Interesting only 1 box mentions client mode , Do all boxes allow client mode with different images?

Ahh i notice it also says Duel operating system Define and E2. Bloody small print

Also seen this on specs on that box which is more confusing.

Experience your content in crisp Full HD resolution at 60 frames per second (1920 x 1080 pixels) with the OCTAGON SX88 SE V2 WL HD H.265 S2+IP Receiver. The box supports the SX88 SE V2 WL HD H.265 IP E2TV Multiroom TV Client System for Enigma2 devices and decodes content in the HEVC/H.265 standard. In addition to standards such as H.264 and AVS, it supports almost all video, audio and image formats.

The box was bougt by mistake, the user is a noob, and when it comes to networking I'm adequate but no way able to guide anybody. Box has to be tiny and run openvix and cheap. The bought box says " IP E2TV Multiroom TV client system for Enigma2 devices." what exactly is that ie how to use it? The tv by the way is led with a scart!!

I have 2 old firesticks could i load sparkle on them. Tiny box tv user uses powerline , wi fi may be cr==p.

I think with the E2TV app there should be an option to add the IP address of your Zgemma and it should import the bouquets.

Yes, you should be able to download sparkle on a firestick, try downloader code 250931. You can do most things with the free version so give it a go. But, I’m not sure how you’ll get past your problem of the tv only having scart sockets if using a firestick lol.

Wow scart now that was an important bit of info to leave out 😂
He would have liked Openvix but main issue would be can Client Mode be used on that box?
All is needed is IP of other box entered and box and saved , rebooted should import channel data on epg to box.
