Syncler Vs Plex

Can anyone give a good reason why Plex would be a better option than Syncler with RD?

I trialled a Plex and I had to go through couple of menus to get server, then no latest or trending categories etc.

Is this possible or should I stick with what I have?

I would say streamio is better with RD links. You will get most stuff in 4k layout of streamio is excellent.

No real advantage of choosing plex nowadays

Stremio with RD, is very good, you can add "addons" that show all the latest releases from netflix etc. it's quite impressive.

Syncler searches more providers than Stremio. I think it’s 44 providers including Torrentio using the Jakedup vendor with Syncler beta.
If you used your RD account along with your own Plex server you can bypass the RD ip address limitations by accessing your RD account through a Plex server.
So you can share access to your RD account with family and friends if you wanted to.

Yeah I would second syncler plus RD..I prefer it than plex...main benefit your not waiting for someone to add what you want to watch and 2nd you get choice of much better options eg 4k large files HDR etc

Mate, can you share how to get stremio with Rd as you mentioned? Happy to discuss over dm if more convenient

I think real debrid doesn't work so well since I posted that. maybe somebody more knowledgeable may be able to help more.

Read this regarding recent changes to french hosted debrid services. The obvious benefit with Plex or emby is you don't have to worry about torrentio going down every 5 minutes, though the drawback is you need harddrive space and good speed. If you don't mind taking an extra 5 mins searching for what you want then Plex/Emby is pretty solid experience.

Its not as common now but Plex shares were very popular previously and hosts would hold 50k plus movies and 5k TV series. Problem was Plex cracked down and kept closing the shares down, and also depreciated performance because a lot of shares used cloud storage.

Never known torrentino to go down with premulize links. There are good plex and vod with the sort of content you talk about.

And with various codecs from 4k to sd and evreything else inbetween these tend to be expensive

There are plenty of indexers to choose from for scrapping.
I don’t think you need to solely rely on Torrentio.
The same with Debrid services there are several to choose from not based on France.
I think the only way that Plex could compete with Debrid is if they all got shut down for some reason.

There are, but as you know none index near as much as Torrentio. Whenever it goes down and your watching a TV series or a obscure movie, it's a coinflip if it's scraped by elf hosted.

I haven’t encountered that issue tbh and if I did I would just find the torrent myself and cache to my cloud.
