Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

Wait, the VIARK is now clearing BT Sport in HD? I looked in this morning and still only the SD were good. I'll check again when I'm home :-)
 
None of my boxes are clearing BT Sport in HD currently.

The colours are there, just meaning the GTMedia V8UHD is now working on 28.2e like the Viarks with SP1 which it wasn't previously before today, don't get too excited just yet :grin:

I'm using a Twin Monoblock LNB ( Hotstar 13 + Astra 19 )
Does anyone know how to set up diseqc on my Viark Sat 4K ?

What is GTmedia v8 UHD like on sky de and spanish channels? and Novasports? Do they glitch during games or is it pretty smooth sailing?
My upsatirs h2s is dying and need a replacement, thought i would ask for feedback before pulling the trigger.

Reading it is stable on DE and IT and Nova. Its not so stable on UK though.

On the Viarks it is pretty much glitch free. Can not say on the GT stuff.

Way too early to say for UK as it only went green yesterday, Germany and Italy have worked fine for me so far though on the GT whatever I've tried.

I watched a bit of UK stuff this morning and it was glitch free then, early days yet though.

I've just done a full blind scan of 28.2e on my Viark and the V8UHD.

Viark took almost 25 mins for nearly 1000 channels whereas GTMedia with same settings is 782 channels in 8 mins.

Not exactly sure what the ballpark should be these days? Any ideas?

Tried the HD51 and that says 874 total Vs the 782 total on GTmedia. Confusing 🤣

First thought different tuner models or a software bug.

Looking at the Viark there are loads more duplicates on it for loads of channels, some with 4 or more so it's inflating that number. The V8UHD still has duplicates but nowhere near as many being listed on the Viark.

I've seen mention in the GTmedia forums that Mars doesn't pick up as many channels as non Mars but that was a different sat. Will try non Mars another day.

I keep seeing Forever messages about new software to stop rebroadcasting so maybe next version will sort the dupes on Viark, who knows.

You do get lots of duplicate channels scanned in on the Viark.

Ive never had it take anywhere near 25 mins though for a blind scan.
 
Yes mate there are a few, the testing seems to be over so just the demo channels. If you press right a few times there's eventually a UHD channels list with them on

Viark's duplicate channels are proper headache. Looks like in the TP database they have duplicate entries.
 
Just seen the Starsat SR-2000 HD Extreme / T-13 has a new firmware 3.08 came out today.

Download StarSat_SR-2000HD EXTREME_V308_01032023

Mine's at the inlaws so will have to pick it up and see if it got a new Forever server - has anyone here got one of those to see? Can't remember what version they had, think it was a GX box so probably not the big packages.

Also just saw mention in a Tunisian forum about a new 4K sports channel added to 28.2e - I'm away from the boxes so not sure what it is.

Oh hang on quick Google says Sly Sports F1 UHD launched today - my boxes don't have the balls for that.

They had sky sports uhd clearing about a month ago on/off more off than on and 90% of the boxes used in the uk couldn’t run it, it’s not been clearing for a while now so looks like the have given up on it.

BT seems to be heading the same way the sd channels come and go (normal during testing phase but seems to be dragging on too long) and to be fair for a sports enthusiast they are crap anyway and the HD variants to my knowledge have never cleared.

I have a question regarding Sky DE and Sky Austria.
Does your Viark Sat 4K recognise the channels Sky Sport 2-10, Sky Bundesliga 2-10 and Sky Sport Austria 2-8?
I am aware that these channels turn on automatically when there are live broadcasts. This is mostly during weekends and European Cups ( applies only to Sky Sport Austria ).
However, during most times these channels do not broadcast anything. Anyway, my Viark has only the channels Sky Sport 1, Sky Bundesliga 1 and Sky Sport Austria 1

You'll probably have to scan those in when there's something being broadcast
 
Anyone getting lipsync / audio slightly off on ss premier league HD on 28 ? The audio is a head a little on mine. Or can it be fixed with a setting?

EDIT: Ignore that , a change of HDMI fixed it.
