Hello,group second post of being a newbie on here,I am in need of some advice on my box and what is compatable,I have a libertview f5s box,I need this to be wifi enabled,what is the best or proper wifi dongle to use,I have tried a tp link mini one which seems to not pick up any signal.

Hi there Dilly, I use a TENDA dongle and it works fine even as far away as 10metres from the modem, I used Amazon UK to purchase mine, any further help required just shout.

Cheers guys,will have a look,I've just noticed the one on the auction site,can I ask guys I currently don't have any 'extra' channels but can't seem to get uk channel 5 ?

Firstly clear any previous TP_prog.dbs files from your USB stick and your download folder on your computer otherwise the computer will rename them and your STB (set top box) will not recognize them.

If possible format the USB when you put it in the computer. If you do not know how to format, Google is your friend!!!

Download the TP_prog.dbs file and copy it to your USB

Remove the USB from your computer and insert it into your STB

How do I update the channel list?

Make sure your USB is plugged in then navigate to;
> Menu > Tools > Upgrade by USB
> Change Upgrade Mode to "Misc File"
> Click on "Select and Upgrade"
> Select "TP_PROG.dbs" so it has a tick next to it then press yellow to "Upgrade by USB", this will update your STB
> Press info after this is finished and it should say OK next to TP_Prog.dbs. If it does not then you need to repeat the whole process

> Exit completely out , if the STB does not reboot itself then you have to do it manually.(via the power switch)

I will try on my box upstairs when home from work for you and let you no if it works it should do as i always used cwaite before the network upgrade option was available.

ok,the channels seem all there,channel 5 still not working,im not connected to any net until i buy dongle

Buy a set of homeplugs as your box is in the other room. TP Link mini nan 200mbps powerline starter kit, google this and that's you hard wired.
