Who uses the VU+ turbo USB tuner ?

Hi guys,

Just looking for reviews on the above tuner for the VU+ receivers.

I’m only after a single satellite tuner and a single cable tuner with 8 modulators but looks like VU+ Only do a box that has twin satellite tuner if I also wanted a cable tuner built in.

What is the quality like ?
Any difference in picture quality buy using this usb tuner?
Could I record satellite from this tuner and continue to watch cable ?

Or am I better of buying a box that will just come with a twin satellite tuner built in with the cable tuner?

The USB tuner isn't FBC so it will just give you one tuner.
You won't be able to watch anything else on cable if you're recording cable.

What do you actually need, FBC tuners for sat and cable, or just twin tuners?
FBC is pretty much limited to Vu+ and GigaBlue.

Don’t need the usb tuner to be fbc,
Just need it for a single satellite feed
and to be able to record a single satellite channel
While I am watching cable and or be recording multiple cable channels at the same time

The cable tuner needs to be fbc which will be a tuner built into the box.

I've only ever had the cable version but it worked okay.
