What LNB holder will fit this dish?

Hi guys,

Any body know what kind of LNB holder this is? Excuse the moss, the dish is over 10 years old :P

I recently installed a Zgemma box in my living room, and now want to put one in the bedroom. So going to upgrade to a quad LNB. I'm just unsure what fitting i require.

Thanks for your help!

hi mate just look at the bottom of the lnb and there will be a make and model number enter that into ebay and search hope this helps.

you can get a new sky dish and lnb off ebay for £21 -£30 and it will be upto date.

I would tend to agree with jason1980 it would be more prudent to go for a dish with quad lnb. My dish needed replacing after 10 years. Take plenty of photos of its position and have the telly close by for picture or buy a cheaper sat finder to setup. Go for a mark4 type then you can upgrade to a oct lnb if needs be?

Thanks for your help guys!
So would I be right in thinking my dish might not be compatible with newer sky LNB's? Or would it just be a case of upgrading everything for the sake of future proofing while I've got the ladders out? ;)

I am sure there are quads out there but for what you will pay and then as you say it is not super proofed. Your dish is near end of life unless you have maintained it? YouTube has loads of dish set up vids its only the will and the ladders holding you back/up ;)

what make of sky box do you have mate if you don't mind me asking because on the majority of the boxes the is a signal finder as long as the signal quality and strength is around the 70% mark you should be good to go and a little tip when setting up new dishes look there the neighbours in the area an see which way they are facing and do the same.

You can get a legacy adapter for Mk4 quad Sky LNBs, they sell both the LNB and adapter on ebay. Search for "Legacy Adapter Sky MK3"

ebay, gumtree, preloved, car boots etc. if you're in no rush then you'll get a second hand dish with lnb for a reasonable price, however its unlikely to come with anything more than a dual lnb. setting your dish up on a singe satellite is easy. zgemma has a built in signal finder in the setup menu (if you can see the tv or someone can shout when the signal has locked)
