walk in shower former

Has anybody got experience of wetroom walk-in shower formers? There is obviously a saying that you get what you pay for. Are formers like item 276033241340 on ebay of good enough quality? Any recommendations greatly appreciated. This is for installing on a concrete floor above PIR insulation.

Wet room?
Is it not having an enclosure around it?
Like a cubicle or corner enclosure?
Wet room means that the shower just runs onto the floor and down a drain.
This former is 40mm thick, meaning it will have to be enclosed with sides/walls etc

About 20 years ago i got the bathroom upgraded from the 50s to the latest at that time , bath removed and new walls replaces due to mould. Bath ,Toilet , Sink , new pipework and electrics installed.
Waterproof sheet ply and sealed with fibreglass Tanked ?.
I had bought a shower tray and glass wall enclosure but now feeling UNSAFE WHEN WALKING ON IT and no longer level and should have gone for a tiled floor.
Think of the future if unsteady on your feet.

Walking on it would have liked grab rails for walking on it.

i did my bathroom, I choose a shower tray in the end. (mira)

Plenty of videos on you tube, try looking for skill builder channel, brands like impey are good, but pricey, not sure how they compare to cheaper brands, you want it to be rock solid underneath.

Many thanks. I have seen Mr Bisby's video, (he has more than one). As well as Plumber parts, but they are more for suspended floors. I ripped out the timber floor and went for a concrete floor. I have used smaller PIR where the "shower" is going, so should be solid enough there.

Another complication is that we will be installing wet UFH, those formers are I insulated.

I am wanting to keep a lip free entry for wheelchair users. God forbid should anything happen, so that rules out a tray.
