Please can you help my narrow down my search
Which router models are good for my requirements
Reliable and good wifi required

Thanks for you time

It depends on your needs, do you require a vpn to be added. Do you own a decent size house and need long range connectivity. Have you got WiFi 6 devices and how many devices will be connected at one time

No vpn
Medium house
Approximately 20 devices
Been reading that Vodafones router aren't good so just looking into replacing if new router turns out to be rubbish
Thanks

maybe consider a mesh network, you can plug into your modem, and add extra devices around the house if needs be

I am with one stream, but recommended my parents and a friend to signup to Vodafone due to price and decent reviews as well as reading they don't block (I have yet to have an issue as one stream is basically Vodafone)

However, numerous issues with the 4K max firestick not wanting to join the wifi (his old none 4K stick weirdly worked), and the main issue with both parents and friend were with Microsoft teams and constant drop outs whilst on calls, for both these issues there are many posts about them online and on Vodafone forums but long story short and after hours on the phone trying to resolve then trying to get out the contract without success, I decided to buy a second hand router which I use (as with one stream to provide a router is extra).

A TP link AC2100, just under £15 I paid off ebay, works perfectly for me and since installing it at my parents, and my mate with teams issues also got one all issues with firestick and Microsoft teams have stopped. Many people I am sure have no issues with the stock router, but I think its as useful as a housebrick and the customer service is pathetic.

Also I, and my parents use a TP link AC1900 mesh booster, I was getting under 10 meg just using the router alone, I now get close to 100meg which is my package throughout my house.

But I can't recommend the router enough, and for my needs which is normal internet usage and streaming, its spot on.

I hope this helps.
