VM Sub

Hi a friend of mine has a Starview 7 receiver, it's got VM cable in it, she has some channels working and some missing, she tells me the guy that put it in never come back to update it in a few years, I have explained to her to maybe get a new receiver, but she has a lifetime Sub in the box I think because some of the Sports and Movies are still working. She also told me that her VM broadband is still working for 3 years after she'd cancelled it. So I'm think the guy must of sorted that for her as well. I need to know can I back up and move the line to the new sat box?

Starview , and lifetimes sub don't happen ! Starview is closed source box and its cable , not sky either
