You do need SP1 Spain all this changed well over 6 months ago.

Is this information still correct? Engaged with a supplier about my renewal and he did not mention about Spain. Just said I need SP1 or Sp2. Not sure if he he knew himself?

Yes still correct SP2 as you know includes IPTV over SP1

Thanks Ferret, sorry I meant he said Sp1 Europe so I don't need SP1 Spain anymore as per your previous quote.

Tried flashing original image to Viark. Doesnt seem to like it. Anyone know what E002 means on front display when holding power button when turning the receiver on?

i have all so found the recovery method below will not work for me i just get E002 on the display then it boots up i can only install the official firmware by using the USB menu

1. Format a USB to FAT32.
2. Download original Viark sofware and rename the bin file to "update.bin" and copy to the USB.
3. With the Viark disconnected from the power, insert the USB into the VIARK receiver.
4. Turn on the Viark and press (hold down) the POWER button on the front of the receiver.
5. Stop pressing the POWER button, once the letters "-ES-" appear on the display, as the recovery will begin.

tried that and still no joy. I think this Viark for the scrap heap. It is just stuck on USB on the front panel.

Managed to progress a little. I have flashed the original firmware, downloaded latest PT firmware and extracted .bin file to root of usb. When i try to install the new software i get a Fail 105 error. Anyone know what this may be?

Make sure you are using vark 4k fw for viark 4k and not viark sat fw.

Just to double check, I'm in the UK and want to renew my Viark Sat 4K sub.

Is the 'Spain' version of SP1 and 2 the only version that includes Sky UK and DE as well as the Spanish package?

Other versions of SP1 and 2 appear to be 'Europe' and 'Non-Spain.'
