Viark Viark/Forever advice

Hi all,

I'm sorry this is already posted elsewhere. I have been searching the web for the past few days to try and get my head around things but seems like I'm going in circles.

Basically, I'm curious about what seems to be the new iteration of cardsharing. I use IPTV at the minute which is hit or miss, especially for Sat 3pm's. I previously used cardsharing 8-10 years ago which worked well until it just didn't anymore...

I'm just wanting it for the football. I'm UK based. From my understanding, the viark boxes come with a sub, which can be upgraded online to access additional channels. I also understand I would need a motorised dish. I also notice some people are using a gtmedia box instead of viark. Do these come with a sub, or is this something I would need to source myself? Or is there another box that would be recommended? With the boxes themselves- is there any option to use them like a sat>ip server that can be imported into tvheadend or the like? I currently have an hdhomerun on my network for freeview that feeds into Channels DVR, alongside some channels from my iptv provider.

Sorry for sounding like a n00b and sorry if I'm missing a really obvious post somewhere. I just need a 'what I need to get started guide' if something like that exists. I'd really appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction/suggest search terms/PM me more info. I'm confident enough with any firmware flashing etc.

Many thanks and apologies again if I'm missing something really obvious!

Viark boxes come with the basic server included, 3 years if you buy the sat 4k and 2 year on the viark sat. Then you exchange 1 year of basic server life for the premium channels. The gtmedia boxes are cheaper but do not come with the server. These are cheap chinese boxes with a good server so are very restricted to what you can do with them.
