anyone any ideas as to why my v8 golden has recently started to freeze,and has to be powered off by switch,or plug before it will
restart again.remote wont work to power off or switch channels once it freezes,and it only seems to happen during commercial
breaks. baffling me this.
 
hi reaper,no not to the latest one 30/09/2016? i did to the one before that though.
problem has only started in the last few days
 
Try an upgrade as we did find a few bugs in the earlier firmware---or you can revert to the one before your present one.
I keep copies of all firmware if you need.

I'm new to the golden v8

I'm also having freezing issues

Here's what happens

I can connect to my Csp Cable server fine by Cccam,mgcamd,new and client all connect and decode fine

However after a few mins 4-5 the box disconnects from the server

It then displays encrypted channel on screen and immediately reconnects and starts decoding with Ecms from the server

This happens over and over and over

I have never had this problem on my Dream it remains connected for days without disconnects


I'm using latest golden firmware myself tried all versions with exact same results


I seem to remember this problem when I owned a Golden media HD box (large receiver) from a few years ago

You only need 1 line in these boxes for cable--I have found that a cable C line works the best--if you use more than 1 line then they fight each other.

I only use 1 line from my server & card glitch free on any other true Linux receiver Dream/dbox2



But could it be the fact that I use Csp as my server system

As no matter which type of line I use C/N/Cws(mgcamd) the disconnect issue is still there

Is your C line from a Csp server , Oscam ,Multics or Cccam

Do you get constant disconnects

As it stands I've had to switch back to my Sd Dream until I can overcome this problem

My line is from an outside server but I advise you to get an outside server test line from the forum.

I'll play about with different servers like a pure Oscam connection or pure Cccam connection and see if anything changes I'll report back here with my results

I do know that most pay servers use Csp Chrombo for cable with the Mrsmokin panel

backdated firmware to 19/08/16 and alls running fine again,thanks again to the man!! the reaper.
while im at it,is there another working sly channel list available? the one released by freesat 01/09/16
didnt work for me,switched off my cams.

Glad your sorted I'm still pulling what's left of my hair out with this

Tried N & C, Oscam same problem 5minutes or so and box disconnects from server

So I decided to try via a Cccam server loaded up Cccam 2.1.2 on my local Oscam machine directed a line from Oscam local to Cccam local then to Golden v8 Cccam client ver2.1.9

Disconnect issue is still there only disconnects even more frequently like every minute

I'm going to try once more before I admit defeat and setup a Multics server and see if that can stay alive

Just to confirm

Can I upload mg_cfg to this receiver I was under the impression I could only load Cccam.cfg & newcamd.list

Ok tried Multics server now also same result

Multiple disconnects from server every few mins

Think I've got a dudd here it's a shame as I'm more than happy with the overall workings of the box menus an extras but I'm going to have to give up on this box



If anyone else has this issue please message me about any solutions you've found to overcome this CS protocol disconnect issue

Same problem here keeps saying encrypted programme every few seconds. Am running a VM line works fine some days
 
Same problems here running a VM line, works perfect most times. But today's being start stop every 2 seconds even on fta mostly HD channels [emoji51]
