Turning Wheels while stationary.

Don't have axle stands to jack the car up but want to be able to turn the wheels back n forth while refilling the power steering fluid.

Would a few pieces of thin metal do the job?

Why can you not turn the wheels with the car on the ground,train them legs at the same time, probably safer aswell

He doesn't mean turn the wheels as such,
He means turn the steering, to bleed the power steering fluid through, .
Don't see why not @chips ,

We did with car on ground all the way to left then right then left right and top up as needed

My tryes will get screwed by the tarmac. Will use the ford jack on one side and my trolley jack on the other, should do the job.

Just drive it forward so the wheels are on some plastic/metal/ laminated timber

will look for some laminated timber, old kitchen cupboards from a skip will do the job.

Yes but make sure there's no screws or such likes, or see if there's a bit of laminate flooring, either will be fine

Ah yes I have some old laminate flooring in the cupboard and that will turn as the wheel turns, great idea, thanks.
