Solar CCTV camera connection issues

I have got a Anran CCTV solar camera but I can't connect to WiFi extender.
TP link RE220 AC750 installed and has a wireless camera working.
When I try Anran cam to WiFi extender it says try lowering to 64 bit or try another WiFi connection.
I can not change the settings on the extender but it says it can use 64/128 and 152 WEP.
At the moment the Anran is connected to the router but when I go into my back garden the camera loses connection.
Is there a way to change security settings on the extender or camera or will I have to return it?

As soon as I seen the title I wanted to say are you trying to set it up in the dark

Do you have dual bands being used? Wondering if its not connecting to the correct band?

You've probably seen it already or similar but maybe have a quick look at the clip below on the setup. A bit in about the dual band and having to setup both.

I had a look at the clip and some other ones also.
I ended up resetting the extender a few times as it would not connect.
I ended up using the tplinkrepeater web page to setup and all is good now.
My Vodafone router doesn't let you split the bands anymore as Vodafone updated the router firmware.
There's are lots of threads on their community site about this.

TP links installation paperwork was not very helpful to say the least.
