Softcams - Cccam & Mgcamd Version

Hi folks,

I'm running a Zgemma box and I have both CCcam 2.3.0 & Mgcamd 1.35 installed, I see there is version 1.38 for Mgcamd would I get any benefit of installing the 1.38 version to use on my box or is it just the same as the 1.35 version I'm already using?

Depends if your subscription is cline or nline? If your line starts "CWS = " then it's using mgcamd in which I would consider updating. If it starts "C:" then your line is using cccam.

oh I know that I've got both softcams installed as over time I've used both clines & nlines, I'm currently using nline but my mgcamd version installed is 1.35 so i'll upgrade my mgcamd version to 1.38 is it worth while.

as far as I know mgcamd 1.38 is a patched verison to read softcam keys files so in your case it wouldn tmake much difference if you use 1.35 which isnt a patched version to 1.38.
