Might be as a result of what device your using...on the shield I don't get dolby but using the sky UHD via iptv on apple tv I do get dolby soundHi,
My service now has a channel called Sky Sports UHD ATMOS
However, it does not output as Dolby Atmos. My setup produces Atmos via other platforms.
Is it not possible to actually receive Atmos via IPTV? Just wondered if anyone had it working at all?
See both the hlg hdr and the atmos stream on my service.@dannyb86 I get 5.1 DD+ but I don’t have a channel on my service called Sky sports UHD Atmos.
If you device support Atmos on other services it should play with Atmos.
But the supplier may have downgraded the audio to save on bandwidth.
If you are using an AVR what does your AVR report the audio as.
I have also noticed Sky are no longer using HLG HDR just standard HDR which should please Shield and Apple TV users due no support.
It's not movie Atmos, it's Dolby Digital plus with Atmos added to it. Not sure if Tivimate can receive it but it has a pass through option so it go to your TV/Soundbar.Hi,

Sky streaming service only reports HDR on UHD channels now.See both the hlg hdr and the atmos stream on my service.
The Atmos feed seems to be PQ HDR and the satellite feed is HLG HDR
Yeah not good for the shield, likely need to do the hdr override for lg oleds which is not convenient so the Atmos feeds are better. Also been more stable so far!Sky streaming service only reports HDR on UHD channels now.
I don’t see HLG HDR like I used to.
HLG was not supported on Shield or on some Apple TV device’s so it’s a good move for users of those devices.
I have been told that Sky satellite is still using HLG HDR for now.
I thought it is great for Shield users now as they can watch Sky UHD channels now in HDR instead of SDR.Yeah not good for the shield, likely need to do the hdr override for lg oleds which is not convenient so the Atmos feeds are better. Also been more stable so far!
The main benefit of the Sky UHD satellite feed is that it has no watermark on the bottom right, and the bitrate seems to be double from my test recordings. The atmos version still looks sharper but just a few observations.I thought it is great for Shield users now as they can watch Sky UHD channels now in HDR instead of SDR.
Strange why HDR is not working on the Sky channels on Shield now they changed to standard HDR.The UHD Now TV iptv feeds are excellent much prefer them to the usual sky UHD as you get the HDR kick in and dolby ..tho I get that on apple tv not the shield...they have been solid for the weekend so far and not had the need to use any apps etc
I tested the Sky now recordings and they are missing some metadata, I manually added them to the recording (not the live channel) and it triggers HDR fine now. Sky will likely fix it in the coming weeks hopefully. Just need more complains on their forum so they get on it.Strange why HDR is not working on the Sky channels on Shield now they changed to standard HDR.
Sorry maybe not best written response...HDR kicks in on shield fine...Dolby atmos sound doesn't...yet does on apple tvStrange why HDR is not working on the Sky channels on Shield now they changed to standard HDR.
