Setting up Zgemma H2H for SLY

Hi Guys im use to setting h2h for vm but not sly is there anything i should know before i do it and is it done the same way

Yes you need the rf adapter. Sorry just re read your first post are you just wanting vm or both sky and vm?

i think it will be just sly there is a dish outside ive just put in another h2h on virgin downstairs but there a box going upstairs so iam looking at using the sly cable that comes from the dish i take it that will work even thou sly services has now been removed

yes just sat only for the upstairs box original they had sly in but that got taken out and vm put in last week but the dish is still there so i was wondering if i can connect that to h2h and get a cline

Disable tuner b and have the sat cable in tuner a then setup abm for sky uk.

Any reason why you can't a twin sat box then you can record one channel while watching another

They're both as easy to set up.
To set it up for Sky UK only on the H2H Zgemma you connect a single cable straight from the satellite dish into the back of the box at tuner A.
So essentially yes, it's just the screw in connector you need to hook up for Sky.
You will then in settings need to disable tuner B (the one for virgin) and run AutoBouqetsMaker for sky channels only. (This isn't complicated to do)

My personal advice would be to use a Zgemma H2S box instead of an H2H. A H2S box allows two satellite cables to be plugged in and that allows you to record one channel and watch another simultaneously. The H2S is also considerably more popular and I would say has more support than its H2H counterpart.

Just also to add, when getting a cline (or nline) you will have to specify that it's for Sky (as virgin cline/nlines don't work for Sky channels)

just shame there is problems with sly just one question thou in the bouquets there is no red button for ppv like you would have on the vm where do you find the ppvs

Theres only sky sports box office in the sports bouquet

Do you have a twin feed available? are you useing the cable side of the h2h? i'm moving to a new house at the end of april that has cable and i have couple of month old h2s which i might be interested in swapping for a cable zgemma

sorry no may be going to vm with it, ive done it for a friend but there is problems with sly at the minute
