Set stb memory error

All,

When trying to reflash an Openbox S11 using RS232 female to female connection the above error appears.

Does anyone know how to resolve this error?

could be a power board issue. before replacing the board, open up the box and disconnect every ribbon cable except for the ribbon that links to the power board and the one that links the rs232 to the main board. you may get lucky.

but the last time i had this it was the power board that was at fault

make sure you are using the correct version of loader.
the eromclient.abs file part of the loader must match the model of receiver.
you can't use the version for the s9/s10 that is the wrong processor type

i am glad you confirmed this can be the problem last time i said this people did not beleive me.

I'm not sure if you are referring to me, as the last time you mentioned this was in this thread:-

http://www.techkings.org/skybox-f3-f5-f6/61390-skybox-f5s-dead-panic-button-help.html

where you told a member to take the lid off an F5s to change a capacitor. As I said in that thread, an F5s doesn't have an internal PSU board, as the power supply is separate.

I know that capacitors in S9/S10/S11 boards cause problems, as I changed loads of them myself over the years, but you were suggesting changing a capacitor on the F5s main board, which is something I have never heard of before, but which you claimed cured 7 out of 10 problems.
