remove hotmail account from windows 10

Added my account to laptop and now can't seem to get rid.

I read on another forum it's impossible to do if i replaced my local account with ms account??

little more info.what exactly did you change?your email address,account?if you are talking about changing your local account to an outlook account,that is inevitable.

If your taking about removing your outlook/hotmail account from Windows 10 then pop into Accounts and change to local account, this will remove your MS login.

It seems to have merged my ms and my local account and I can't remove either. This was after I downloaded a free app on the store and asked me to login.

so far I think the only way around it is to make a new user with a different email then remove the other user from laptop

try removing the account from Store and that should solve it, if you make a new account you'll have to setup everything again

that's what i've had to do. just WOULDN'T let me delete the accounts once they were merged.

New windows account added to laptop and luckily had most things backed up!!

You just need to change it in the settings from online to local account!
