recording v5s

hi guys

had a look around and it seems to be that you are best of using an ext powered usb 3.0 hdd to record on the V5S the question is, can any one recommend a fairly cheap decent one or has anybody had any luck using a usb 2.0 memory stick/ext hdd

Yes, usb2 works perfectly.

cheers mate, i only asked as trying my usb 2.0 8gb memory stick and got a popup saying device to slow to record, may i ask what you are using?
