Reconnecting dish for FTA

Hi all,
I've just been considering getting a satellite receiver and in preparation I've went to check my old dish and cables etc. I've just noticed that my dish is no longer connected to the external cable point at the side of my house, which I assume is the feed for the cable point in my living room. When I switched from Sly to Firgin they replaced the external connector and uninstalled the standard single coax connection in the living room and replaced it with a much bigger socket that has 2 threaded coaxial connections.
Sorry about the incorrect terminology etc I'm pretty useless at technical things.
Does anyone know how/if I can reconnect the dish to that external point so that I can get a Satellite receiver and not have to run cables through walls and ceiling??

I'm not sure what you mean by "my dish is no longer connected to the external cable point at the side of my house" so let's take it one step at a time.

Go back outside and look at your Sky dish. There's a pole sticking out, and a block on the end. There should be two sat cables attached to the block. Yes or No?

Hi, yes the 2 cables are still in the LNB. It's were they use to run too, for connection into the house that has changed, it's no longer a simple screw on connection.

It looks something like a cat 7 cable stripped and joined.

totally different cables your looking at,sat cables have the copper centre core and outer cable is black or white.
cat 7 might be used as hdmi source feed, cable or sat fitters are not suppose to alter other cable providers cable.

coax cable maybe hidden check again.

If there is an old connection point still on the wall, can you not connect 2 new cables from the dish to it with 4 new F-Connectors to it. would really need to see a photo to understand fully how it is setup.
