re, channel's open box v8 golden

hi, I have just bought the above box and when I did a channel scan I noticed all the channel's are all over the place, so was wondering what can I do to get them in order, ie: bbc 1 bbc2 and so on.

any help would be great...cheers.

You need to make your own channel list with some software on your PC - DBEditor is what I use... It's not very good though so don't expect it to be a quick process. I spent a full day sorting cable channels in order because there isn't any channel lists for these boxes.

thanx guys, but is there not an easy way than that? I thought something like creating your own channel list putting onto a usb flashing onto the box, can this not be done?...

Yes - this is what i've described in post #2.

I no longer have the channel list as I deleted the cable one as I don't use it anymore - I also read somewhere that you can't use another persons user db file unless they're local.

If it's a Satellite channel list you want for 28E, I can do one for you, I don't have cable.

As said, you can only swap channel lists from the same receiver and only if you're local to each other (think this was from Reaper who sells the boxes).

This is a Satellite channel list made using the channel edit function, it can be loaded on any Freesat V8 Golden or Super box.
I would imagine you would have to make your own Cable channel list.

Hi, it will take me a few hours tonight as I have to delete a lot of channels from other Sats. & redo the Fav lists, I'll post it here when it's finished.

This list will be just be for 28E, I'll probably get it finished tonight.

There are still around 100 channels available on CS, inc. 12 sport + 6 BT Extra Sp.

28E Channel list for Freesat V8 Golden/Super
9 Favs, 1 FTA, 2 News, 3 Regional, 4 Kids, 5 Music, 6 SKY, (These are whats left of the CS channels, starts with Sports first)
7 Shopping, 8 Religious, 9 International.
To Load, "Menu" - "Tools" - "USB Upgrade" - Select "User DB" - "Start" - "Yes".
(Save any existing channel lists first, as this will replace them)
