openbox V9s is it good or not.

Newbie
So far we have tried the V8s and the Zgemma H2s and must admit the Zgemma was the most reliable and easiest to use or set up.
Our Zgemma has now gone wrong and we would like to hear the views of openbox owners what they think of the V9s model.
We are new to this site and relatively new to using these satellite receivers so please try not to baffle us with science and keep it simple.
many thanks in advance.

Enigma2 boxes are better than openboxes without a doubt.

Not saying they're awful but they're very basic in comparison, though as I've said elsewhere, they do a job.

it would be not from me didn't like the channel set up due to a software issue

The V9s is losing ground---very little support and very confusing set-up. As with the V8s and earlier models, clones are already appearing from small chinese manufacturers, so if you buy one, then you are taking a chance on whether it's the real McCoy from yojiatech, or a rip-off.

Had a v9s a few months now, support is lacking picture quality not that great sound is awful too, I would wait or go get a v8s if your after a openbox

I have previously said above your post Mr L that most of the older openbox series are clone/fake. The next generation is on the market and consists of V8 Golden--V8 Super--V7 Max--V7 Combo--V7 Combo ATSC and V7 Mini--no longer made by Openbox/yojiatech but by an offshoot company called Winsat Technology. V8 golden and such have been around for a while I did look into them last year, f5s was probably best budget box I've had, technomate was difficult but my zgemma is good and reasonably priced

Many thanks all My mind is made up so I will stick with the Zgemma h2s. Like they say better the devil you know.

Yes and no----It is illegal to counterfeit but not illegal to copy---companies must make buyers aware of goods production factory and state whether OEM or copy---if you look on sites such as aliexpress or dhgate there you will see the name and factory of producer but by the time it gets on e-bay etc it will suddenly have changed to "genuine--original".So it's not the Chinese at fault, it's the crafty sellers out to make a few extra quid. Hence we always warn about auction sites.
