hi i went to update firmware on my openbox v8s and pressed the wrong update now it wont let me update my firmware it says missmatch hardware i clicked on m8 or something like that it still works but im worried it will stop working any help would b appreciated thanks

Go to the Openbox forum and read through the sticky about how to reflash with a null modem cable.

Hang on, on reflection, may be a clone box and just need a reflash with correct firmware. If it's genuine it's from yojiatech. If a clone it's Openbox.cm

Hi James to the best of my Knowledge it will say miss match when the software is wrong for the box which means you have to download the exact firmware for your V8s not "V8" or any other firmware and it will work.
And remember to say no on DBS and settings when upgrading
