openbox v8s wont let me update by USB

Hi, I'm sure someone can help me with my prob. Some of the channels on my openbox v8s are not showing the channel that they should. So I thought I'd read up on how to put in a new channel list. I downloaded a list but my box will not let me upgrade by USB (upgrade by USB not in bold). I have tried a couple of pen drives and formatted them to 32fab. Any ideas folks???

how old is the box?
 
Had the same problem myself turned out to be the u.s.b stick check that it's fully inserted in the u.s.b port

Network upgrade?? how do I do that?? Sounds difficult for a guy who ain't got much of a clue... :whistling:
 
click menu> network settings> upgrade by network> connect> then choose Tp list > choose ireland and bobs your uncle

Openbox How to Upgrade TP List Via Network

Note:
1, you can upgrade following models via upgrade, upgrade to new firmware or upgrade to new TP list, models including:
--Openbox V8S/ Openbox V8Se/ Openbox V6S/ Openbox V5S;
-- S-V6/ S-V7/ S-V8.
2, Please don’t power off during upgrading! When you power off, box will lost data and dead.

1, Upgrade Box with the software which support Network upgrade via USB.

2, After Upgraded , go to “ Network Local Setting” Menu, can find “ Upgrade By Network” Menu, Click “ Upgrade By Network ”, then will enter menu: ( see picture):

3, click “Connect” , then box will connect to Server , upgrade ready;

4, You can choose upgrade “ Firmware” or “ TP PROG”, then go to right menu, press OK on remote controller, box will upgrade automatically;

5, After upgraded successfully, box will restart.

HI, Thanks for the reply. when my network setting comes up it just gives me three option, Ethernet, wifi, USB 3G. it's on Ethernet at the moment and that's all I have in network settings not sure what to do??

Hi Span123, these are the pictures of what I can get on. As you see the ones in BOLD I can access but there are many not BOLD... Any idea what is wrong? I did say that the box was 2 years old thinking on it is more like 3...
