Openbox V8S Scrambled Channels CCcam Online

Bought Openbox V8S back in January and got a Cline from a reputed forum member and all of a sudden all the channels are scrambled apart from FTA. Emailed the CCline provider and they assure me that all the servers are up and online.

Things I've Checked:

01/ Reboot BT Home Hub 5 router
02/ Rebooted Opnbox V8S
03/ Checked IP Adress registered on router for Openbox is same as Openbox displays in Network Setting. IP's Match.
04/ Checked CCline in Openbox, it reports as Online with the green box ticked.
05/ OTA update check fails with http server error
06/ Weather app doesn't work.

The Openbox is connected through home plugs to the router and worked fine for 6 months then just stopped working. I understand the channels are scrambled as although the box appears to be assigned an IP via DHCP, clearly it isn't talking to Internet for decryption keys to unscramble channels. OTA / Weather app also don't appear to be connecting.

Firmware is 09-10-2015 I think. will post correct version when i get to the girlfriends house tonight as the box is at hers.

Any Ideas?

Can anyone also confirm if the 1st firmware download is compatible for the V8S?

If the network server [ota] is failing that is the perfect proof thats your i-net is not connecting to box---homeplugs are good but impossible to prove at fault unless you first connect an ethernet cable to the box and router and test.
Also check your cam config and ensure its either wifi or ethernet set as these auto change if box has been unplugged from power.

thanks to all. unplugged RJ-45 Network cable and enabled Wi-Fi and it's all working again over Wi-Fi.
 
"a yellow and ungodly nation shall rule the world one day", lol thanks for the help looks like i'll be digging out a 10 meter LAN cable to bypass the homeplugs and see where the problem is. thanks again all. it's appreciated

I'm having the same issue with open box v8s. The server is online and is working on a multibox skybox f5s however it isn't working on the open box. Even though it shows as online the channels are still scrambled. Have factory reset and Tried to update channel list still nothing. Any help please
