Openbox V8s on Wifi not Ethernet

Hi guys,

I upgraded from an Openbox V8s to a Zgemma H2s last week and bought myself a wireless dongle to use on the openbox upstairs. It's all connected and running okay and I have a signal intensity of between 98-99% and the same for signal quality. I asked for a test line to see if it would work okay upstairs in the bedroom before I actually forked out for one. I've added the line and the line is showing as active yet all the paid for channels are scrambled. Is there something I am doing wrong here?

Have you changed the network settings to wifi! And added your internet password when the dongle connected?

Can you 'connect' when upgrade by network ?

When you say the line is active is it showing 'on line' ?

Finally, try the line from your Zgemma in the V8S and vice versa.

Yes I can connect when upgrade by network and it brings me 3 items that I can download. Line is showing as online

Could this have anything to do with my router? I'm with talk talk and the openbox when downstairs was connected via ethernet with no issues

The only thing I can think of is the leave it on a premium channel with the $ sign for up to 20 mins to see if it clears eventually!

I've come away and left it on a paid for channel. Not got any more time to spend on trying to get it to work tonight. Thanks for your help!

Still not any joy. Is there a way to factory reset the box and start from scratch?

yeah, menu> factory settings> think its red for all and ok> then let the box save data.
you should then be able to add the channel list first via network upgrade if you've configured your wifi, would've bought homeplugs personally but you've opted for a dongle.
then add your line again manually and reboot the box from the socket
