openbox v8s /f5s freezing picture solved.

I updated channels via usb and cfg via lan tool, that's when it froze.
with lnb cable disconnected and lan connected.
Using lan tool and putting box in standby, standby is important. I log into box,
and replace image file with image I backed up a while ago, the box reboots,
so you have to put it into standby again.
I then replaced, via lan tool, all the other files with blank files. cccam.cfg,softcam.key,smartcard.conf,constant.cw
Reboot box, its working again

so why did you replace them with blank files ?

if the CCcam.cfg file was blank the encrypted files wouldn't work

It looks like faisal had the "LAN tool problem", where the box would freeze after a few seconds.

Replacing some files with blank ones using the LAN tool cures the problem. The CCcam line can then be replaced using the USB method, or manually.

Some members have cured this problem by just replacing the constant.cw file with a blank file.
