Non-ISP Router

Hi all,

I am just wondering what the importance of a non-ISP router is? I am with vodafone and despite some poor reviews from others, my signal around the house is generally issue-free.

With that in mind, I am wondering if a branded router is important to the smooth streaming of IPTV if I was looking to improve this? (I have some small issues with mini-freezing etc that I think I have narrowed down to ISP/router)

You can use the wifi analyzer app on android to check signal strength and band congestion. UniFi is a popular brand of wifi access points to extend and increase stability of wifi.
