My V5S wont boot

just a random one, just purchased this and was trying to put my gift in and now when I boot the device, I just get load on the front of the device and that is it, no change in a full 24 hour period, remote is unresponsive, any ideas?

Is this new box or 2end hand box ? Also did it boot before you tried to load the gift card ?

its a new box, yes it booted fine, I loaded the gift card and it didn't work, I then read the instructions with the gift card and I had to add a channel list (it already had one but wasn't broadcasting) I followed instructions and once id finished it just says load on the display of the box
