Loading IPTV (tsmedia) onto Openbox V8s

Good day all,

I have an Openbox v8s and I'm trying to load an IPTV service, that works brilliantly on other devices, ideally want to put it on my Openbox V8S.
I have follow the instructions here
but it still says 'Failed to load m3u' yes it is called WebTV.m3u

I have tried several formats of m3u to make sure it wasn't a formatting issue but to no avail.
Here is an example of what I tried

Does the openbox v8s even support this type of link?

Just seen this on openbox site....guess I can't do it till this firmware is released, unless someone here has it working somehow?

To all OPENBOX V8S users:

We hereby confirm that our model OPENBOX V8S does not support IPTV. OPENBOX V8S only support WebTV function (M3U).

Due to current changes to satellite services in the UK and Ireland our customers are unable to receive premium channels.

To provide an alternative solution to the V8S users and to make sure they are not left behind with no TV. We put lot of efforts and costs to add IPTV function to V8S. As there is lot cost and effort of a highly skilled IT team is involved unfortunately we are unable to provide this firmware for free. We have to charge our customers a reasonable fee to cover the cost.


We will introduce new OPENBOX V8S software with IPTV function(support xtream IPTV and NOVA TV). This firmware will be available on our website to download on or around 30 June 2017. To activate the IPTV function, Users who need IPTV function should contact OPENBOX Brand Owner or our agent to purchase the activation code.

Are you able to get his WebTV.m3u so I can compare what I am doing wrong?

Mines different mate doesn't have the ext in the file

Ask him to send you the webtv mthreeu file instead and try that if the one you got not working

Do you control or have nova Tv ?

What does your file look like then as mine won't play on v8s
