Hi just a bit of advice please i am looking for a quality kitchen tap manufacturer. The wife wants a polished chrome mixer tap twin handles but all the reviews i have read on various sites seem to show that they all start leaking or fail after a short period of time any help would be great . Thanks

Go with good brands above, if you get an issue you will be able to get parts.

Worth checking wholesalers websites for offers for example citi plumbing . The guys at the branches I have found are helpful. I fitted a Bristan tap in my kitchen, they replaced one of the cartridges under warranty , no problem.

You can get cartridges for any tap, even the cheap ones, my kitchen mixer tap was dripping, I'd sold the house (STC) so wasn't too bothered, but it got worse and started running slowly rather than dripping. It was 14 years old.
I got a cartridge for about a fiver from plumbers merchants.
Took 10 minutes to fix.
