IPTV Loading times?

Hi,

My IPTV service provider provided its own App for me to download via the downloader app for my Amazon firestick 4K max. So far I haven't experienced any mid channel viewing freezing/buffetings.

When it comes to IPTV do you have to put up with loading times? When changing channels even to the next channel there's like several seconds loading time before the next channel comes on. So with iptv you wont get that instant change that you get with cable & satellite tv? So each channel has to be loaded from scratch when selected? Even with EPG for IPTV takes time to load up not instant.

Also with IPTV you have to put up with all that background downloading going on in the App background like downloading channel thumbnails, EPG's etc? Does this makes the App sluggish, slow unresponsive? I ask because the app feels slow, sluggish, unresponsive like it is running on a old windows 95 computer.

Should I get instant performance for a firestick 4K max connected to surshark vpn that is connected to a wi-fi 6 network? I have no probs with other apps on my firestick like netfix, youtube, prime video with no long loading times. A 4k YouTube video takes just a couple of secs loading. Which surfshark locations/servers are best for iptv?

So in summary you have to put up with loading times for IPTV or my firestick 4k max is not fast enough or my IPTV service provider is rubbish or the app they gave is rubbish?

Can you ditch their app and try Tivimate?

Could be a combo of all... Have tried different apps, and all have different loading times...

Depending on the channel you use, if it's not currently streaming from provider it will need to cache from it's source, so that can take a few seconds too. But usually, that's normally foreign channels... UK channels should be much quicker...

Could also look if their app has a buffer size limit. If so try turning it down. :)

Could also try turning the VPN off?

Could be my firestick not fast enough? Out of all the apps you tried, which app is the fastest?

So not all channels are from the provider and some from source? What you mean from source for foreign channels? UK channels are streaming? How you know I am from the UK lol?

Okay I look for that setting.

Will turning off the VPN bring in ISP risks like possible ban or punishment by isp by throttling speed?

If loading times is only an issue I'd be happy with that , no freezing or buffering is a plus. No IPTV is perfect

I want that instant feel you get from cable tv or satellite, when you change a channel there is no loading for it. It reminds me of PlayStation 1 days, CD games long loading times. It is like the App or IPTV service is running off a CD.

The basic Tivimate is free. Add playlist m3u/ XC. I would suggest turning the buffer to none, but you need the premium version for that.
You could try other apps like Xciptv or Smarters etc just to see if its app related. Your stick should be fast enough. The VPN could be slowing it?
Try it with it off. I wouldn't worry about ISP :)

Out of curiosity, what is their app called?

With tivimate free version, can you add favourite channels or do you get EPG for free with tivimate?

Out of Xciptv or smarters, which is better?

Why I should not worry about my isp?

App is called Lemo TV app.

You won't get EPG with free Tivi. Not sure about favourites and your only allowed 1 playlist.

Xciptv and Smarters probably as good as each other?

I've never worried about ISP. I only use VPN if it won't connect without. I don't think they really give a fcuk, They're more interested in your custom than watching cheap TV lol.

Have you run a speed test through the stick? Open a browser on it, go to Google and type speed test. Have a check of the latency as well as speed. (Maybe your router needs a reboot?)
Just had a better idea lol. Put phone on mobile data, do a speed test. If all ok, install Tivimate and log in and see how it goes. :)
I'll pm you the link ...

I think if you want that instant feel maybe get proper paid for sky, iptv is always a compromise, i personally don't notice any lag when changing channels and neither do any people i know who use iptv, try it without a vpn and if you're still not happy i think it's time to try another supplier. I still have a really cheap genuine sky tv basic which i pay a fiver a month for and my iptv is at least as quick

You'll never get the feeling and zap of genuine Sky unfortunately,
How long you been with your supplier I assume they are on here , if you got one .
Has it just started the issue?
Other than try other apps and turn off VPN.

Having it freeze buffer free is a plus.

There has been a known issue about slow loading and zapping times with iptv past couple of days not just yours mine is slow loading also

Can you find out please whether tivimate favourites is free or pay otherwise what can you do in free tivimate apart from 1 allowed playlist? I don't want to record, the storage built into my firestick is lets say not enough for recording lol. I just want favourites feature & epg is a bonus if free.

Yes ran speed test, good ping and good download/upload speeds. What is the recommended ping and download/upload speeds for HD iptv channels and for 4K channels?

I'm not planning to use iptv with my mobile data. I like to use my wi-fi instead of mobile data.

Can you provide the link here please as my inbox is playing up.

Sounds like your iptv is not compromised. You don't mind me asking what iptv app you use?
