Hi all,

I am trying to attached an inline amplifier to my F5s openbox, but once I start up and go through the reboot, the box gets to 100 and then starts all over again, and again and again!!!!! what have I done wrong, it is so simple to install but I can't get the box to work with it on

Any help would be appreciated

An inline amplifier draws it's current from the box it's connected to. Perhaps the F5s power supply unit cannot supply enough current to power it.

Or, perhaps, the extra current is causing the box to think that there's a short circuit on the LNB connector.


If you are getting low signal strength, then perhaps your dish needs realigning.
 
Thanks for the reply, I have got it to work now but the signal dropped from 90% to 83% so I have taken it off now, I should let you know that I am in Spain and since February all our signals went down, can't get any BBC channels at all, but do get ITV but on a weak signal, that is why I wanted the inline amplifier to boost it up, I get every other channels OK so I think the dish is OK, if there is some other way of boosting up the signal and quality I would appreciate your knowledge, many thanks
 
i had a amp for the gf for itay channels, and was better the other way round then the sticker on it

went from 56% to 80%
 
What size dish do you have at the moment?

Is it possible to install a bigger one?

on the vu i noticed in tsmedia there is a section uk pat giving bbc1 and ch4,think that was by itv stream section and i was on 7-4 tsmedia as advised.lol
 
Hi, the dish is a 1.2m, I have been told that to get all the BBC channels I would need a 1.8m which is like 1,000 euros to get over here, I have seen them on ebay, but they are in sections, not a solid one and I've been told they are rubbish, so just don't know what else to do
 
yes, I am!!! and yes I know, it has been a real paid since February, so I guess I am not going to get the channels back no matter what I do, I did have all the ITV channels till all the HD went, now nothing
would be nice to get them all the HD channels back lol
