Idiot's guide to IPTV on H2s

Hi,

I am looking at adding an IPTV subscription to my H2s running Wooshbuild. Can anyone direct me to a basic guide on how to do this, I will have an m3u file (whatever that means)

I am looking to find out how to add IPTV, how to add the streams to my EPG, how to record etc

No idea what I am doing, I have read numerous posts on here, but I'm at a loss of where to start.
 
For xc plugin you need to install the folder through FTP usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions, reboot, the enclosed . XML (in the zip file) needs to be edited in notepad with your user and pass then uploaded to /etc/enigma2

Preferably get it from your supplier as it has the URL address built in

I had a test line from someone, it worked perfectly on my Amazon Fire TV and Android tablet, had seperate bouquets and a full 7 day EPG, but when I converted it to an m3u file and added it to the h2s the IPTV bouquet was just blank. The channels played fine, but there was no EPG.....I could just do it through my Amazon fire, but ideally I wanted it on the H2s.......I haven't signed up for IPTV as the trial has ended, I was more trying to work out what could be done and how before I made the decsion.

Am I better getting a different box?

You need to use an app called echannelizer. you can use that to give your IPTV Bouquet channels the same identifiers as your cam ones.. then the EPG will show up fine.
 
There is a lot of work in echannelizer , handy if someone had a ready made file to download [emoji41]

For home use up to 10 boxes from what i hear the zip file is all over the net

I'm using IPTV on my H2S & it has a full epg, I have a guide here on how to install, use this & follow it correctly & your be fine. By the way I'm using Wooshbuild

Hi I am looking to to get IPTV what the easiest way to get a 7 Day EPG for UK channels is there a file ready made file for E-Channelizer.

Looking at your guide will the EPGImporter add all the uk channel 7 day guide automatically so i don't have to do it manually.

I think that guide is for a specific supplier and won't work for general use, correct me if wrong thanks

think you're right... I didn't get a username/password... I got a text file containing script to copy and paste into putty
