Humax HB-1100S very intermittent signal?

Funny thing is, at lunch I went to the local electronics shop and bought some extra cable and two connectors with the view to changing the cable, I thought I'll try this and just run the new cable through the window, but when I turned on the Humax box it was getting a full signal on both tuners, so I went back to work happy but when the wife got home at 2:30 and put on the box, it worked for half an hour before going off again, then when I came home, I had a new M4 bracket so I thought I'll swap out the old bracket that I had tied with cable ties to the new one, which I did and guess what it's working 100% atm with full bars on both tuners, if it goes again I think I'll try a new box 😢emoji_clap

Have you tied your lnb with cable ties? I guess that’s the issue.

Post a picture of your dish and lnb

Well the inevitable happened it lasted about 4 hours this time before the box lost signal, could the lnb be turning itself off ?
@Drox, I'll post a picture tomorrow 👍

The l.n.b switches between the vertical and horizontal sides of the transponder. If it wasn't
Switching correctly you would have channels
Missing on either the v or h side

I don't have channels missing, but after it decides to go off (saying the signal is too weak or missing), I get nothing at all.

I redid the connections going into the box, I cut around 10" (I guess that when I first attached the F connectors I tightened them too tight and in doing so I shorted the cable) off the cable, and (fingers crossed emoji_clap) it hasn't gone off since, so everyone who suggested the cables/wiring were spot on, but thanks to everyone for the help, this is a brilliant community 👏👍
