how acekard works ?

Any help much appreciated guys, i am buying a 3ds for my little boy and just wanted to know if i buy an acekard does it come come with firmware on it and can i just put it straight in and play, and is an acekard the best option out there ? does the ds have to be flashed ?

Okay, I'll answer your questions one by one
1. generally they come preloaded with firmware, but if it doesn't, its a doddle to load it.
2. they generally don't come with games on, so you will have to source and put them onto card.
3. for me, the Acekard 2i is probably the best value card, given the regular updates by the Akaio people
4. the DS/DSi/3DS's do not need to be flashed, the cards act just like any other game card.

3ds games wont run on these flash carts yet and if you updated the 3ds with newest firmware you wont be able to run normal ds roms either anymore. This was the situation last time i looked into it but it may have changed ofc.
