Viark Hotbird on second dish

Newbie
Can anyone help me i have viark sat 4k receiver i have 2 dishes one 28.2e other 19.2e with cable coming from both to receiver to a DiSEqc switch all work but i want to put a extra lnb on 19.2e dish to get hotbird 13e but i dont want to run a new cable to receiver is it possible to use another DiSEqc switch at 19.2e dish would viark be able to control it?

Short answer is yes.

Use the Diseqc 1.0 protocol just two cable from the 19.2 east dish and one from 28e dish into the switch. Then single cable down to the Viark. It could be done with a monoblock LNB on the 19e dish but some swtiches wont work with them so its better to use 2 lnb on it.

Single cable limits your feeds , lost count how many cables i have around the house and i also have switches.

Out of interest, with these monoblock lnbs. Would you still set them up in the receiver as you would with a normal diseqc switch?

So Astra 19.2e on diseqc 1 lnb a
Hotbird on diseqc 1 lnb b

or would both of them just be set as if you were using a single lnb setup?

Avoid a mono block LNB, it is just two LNBs with a diseqc switch built into one unit. You will then have to combine protocols (committed/non-committed) when configuring.

Easier to get a four port Diseqc switch (if you have a two port one), cable from 13e LNB will then go to the diseqc switch along with the other two. You will also need a multi LNB adapter.

As Abu explained mate it is doable but its a bit of a mind feck.

Some switches wont work at all as it messes with the internal switch on the mono block i did get it working with an uncomitted switch , i persisted in making it work as i had all the bits and didnt want to spend.

My advice get a bracket and another LNB and keep it simple.

I have only one cable coming from 19.2e dish to receiver i want to have one DiSEqC at 19.2e dish i want to add hotbird lnb there then I want to switch between 28.2e and 19.2 dish at receiver is it possible 3 lnbs in 2 cable. Dishes are at different side of house

In that case you'll need an uncommitted and committed switch - I stand to be corrected on that, as I have never done it myself

Alternatively, are any of your two dishes big enough to put all 3 LNBs on one?

Another option is to add a cable from one dish going to another, and then just have the Diseqc switch one dish.

If the latter two are both possible, you could get a fourth LNB and reuse the smaller of the dishes for another Sat.

I'm not sure how Viark works,
But you may be able to add a diseqc at the 19e dish and cascade them

I think its been over thought this

Get a 4 in to one switch mount the switch on the dish that has the cable that goes into the house. Then run a cable or cables along the house from the remaining dish into the switch.

Thats all you need to switch between the 3 lnbs.

I have a couple of single output Konig 4.3° seperation monoblocs. Have used them on my zone 1 minidishes with a 40mm holder. They're good for getting 19e and 28e simultaneously (although still not quite as good as two seperate LNB's as I can get those slightly closer together if using the right LNB's). The receiver in the DISEqC 1.0 'simple' settings reads the LNB positioned on the easterly side as LNB A (in this case 19e) and the one on the westerly side (28e) as LNB B.
